“KAZ” from The Companion Series

Kaz. I’m not even certain if that’s how you spell it, since he was my dog before I even learned to write. I remember the Halloween when my parents gently told me that he was getting old and that we would soon have to say goodbye. It’s remarkable how deeply our animal companions affect our lives; they become integral parts of our families, sharing in our milestones and memories. For my wife, it was Buster and Monty; for me, it was Kaz, Daisy, Basil, Tasha, Pacey, and Walter. We truly were a dog house!
